Click for monochrome colour!

A canvas of squares, each one displaying a unique pattern of dots, constantly changing over time.

Features:

Granularity - This affects the dot size; extremes of size are rarer.

Grid size - The number of squares, with mid-values being more common.

Variance - The speed at which the pattern changes over time. A gentle pace is most common, with rarer instances of very fast or very slow changes.

Rotation - Some squares are given a slight tilt; this value controls how obvious the effect is.

Inverse probability - The likelihood that a particular square will be inverted. An equal mix is slightly more likely.

Grid lines - These can be black, white or grey. They are most likely to be grey.

Grid spacing - The distance between individual squares.

Hue - The monochrome hue used when the canvas is clicked.
