Quantum Plankton

Welcome to the first quantum-computer generated series on fx(hash)!

Quantum Plankton is our generative genesis, the sea where art and science meet and a new sense of aesthetics arises. A collection of shapes and colours, all drawn using the measurement outcomes from quantum computers.

Quantum plankton is composed of 8 palettes and 81 shapes, one of which is always guaranteed to be a pointillistic element.

But how was this done? Take the choice of colours. To choose one of the 8 palettes, we take 3 qubits and entangle them. After, we proceed to measure them, collapsing their wavefunction into three mere binary values. Just about what you need to encode the real numbers up to 8. Hence our little 3 qubits quantum algorithm decides which palette to use.

Using similar processes, all the 81 shapes, including our signature the "pointillism", are drawn onto the canvas.

That is, the underlying rarity of each element in Quantum Plankton has been entirely decided by the laws of quantum mechanics.

This page has been generated using fx_hash public API https://api.fxhash.xyz/graphql/, to display an overview of a creator's collection from www.fxhash.xyz. The computation of "rarity" is not the official computation and therefore can differ. Dev by @zancan.
