Tessellatum – a collection inspired by mosaic and weaving craftworks.
The artworks were created by applying a p5.js generative algorithm simulating mosaic, pointillism and weaving-like textures on a library of images issued/exported from a generative flowfield algorithm in R (The R Project for Statistical Computing). In other words, to avoid any ambiguity, the R issued images on which the mosaics effects are applied are not generated on the fxhash platform, but the mosaic effects (noise, size and shape of the tiles), the backgrounds and various other generative elements are via a p5.js implementation.
