Beetle Sketches

One of the ways I recharge is to go into nature and photograph bugs. The endless variety fascinates me. For this project, I wanted to simply doodle with code, and decided to try to draw some beetles with only simple shapes (circles, rectangles and lines). This is therapeutic - fiddling with parameters and finding ways to get shimmery carapace from colored dots...
I hope that these in some small way evoke the joy I have when finding a cool new bug.
