The Last Legends of Earth

Inspired by the novel 'The Last Legends of Earth' by A.A. Attanasio, this work depicts the plight of the Rimstalkers, whose world at the edge of the Universe has fallen prey to the arachnoid zōtl. What begins as rainbows and unicorns descends into a nightmare of nests of brain-sucking spiders.

The work is made using vanilla javascript with some use of D3.js and math.js. Hand-crafted conformal mapping techniques are used to warp benign geometries into fever dream constructs.
