This project is inspired by contemporary artist Ding Yi's work "Appearance of the Cross". It represents my effort in achieving the balance of retaining Ding Yi's maximalism aesthetics while providing a potential to see patterns in there.

The 8 color palettes are inspired by Ding Yi and risograph colors as well. There are 3 different ways of how colors are chosen, and a small chance the X is drawn with two colors.

The marks are drawn onto a large 3600x3600px canvas and shown as a resized preview in 800x800px. You can press 's' to save the original sized canvas in PNG which can be printed up to 20x20in at 180dpi.
