jellyFingers

_pixelform_13/16

An interactive piece for "finger painting" using force directed datamosh-like feedback. Painting characteristics are based on interactions with a uniform grid of regions covering the canvas, each given an origin, mass, returning force, and dampening factor. By clicking on the canvas, forces displace the grid, causing regions to drift and smear akin to running a finger through paint.

Region size, mass, returning force (pinningForce), and dampening factor, as well as canvas palette are determined by the transaction hash associated with the minted piece. Some characteristics produce a very responsive "paint", others may yield a sluggish "jelly".

CONTROLS:

click - apply forces to the grid regions toward pointer
shift+click - apply forces to the grid regions away from pointer
r - reset the regions
g - reset the gradient
s - save the canvas as a .png
