Industrial Pieces

Dewi20/20

This project was anticipated thanks to the effective participation of students in the digital / generative art processing workshop that I participated in helping dear colleagues from the college where I study.
The workshop consisted of teaching high school students to understand the basics of javascript as a tool for applied understanding of mathematics, logic and, consequently, art. Of course, this work is derived from one of the final drafts made by myself, students and co-workers and I had full authorization to adapt it as a token for FxHash. =)
So in this project, together with my dear friend Tiyen (thanks mate!), we decided to contextualize the artistic production with the industrial theme, forcing us to choose more metallic and little polychromatic palettes, where inclined rectangles represent - in a very generic way - pieces used in machines and mechanisms. To finish our code, a refined application of granules in two stages represents the surface wear of the parts and the edge with screws was a very well received student suggestion.

I hope this project can attract more people to learn coded art as I once was and I don't regret it.
