Sacred Arrays

Purz64/64

Geometric arrays intersect and rotate becoming kaleidoscopic labyrinthian visual mazes.

This project started as a study of geometric interconnected arrays spinning into final positions causing pretty overlapping patterns as they settle. Using the real-time capabilities of cables.gl coupled with FXHash's GPU previewers I was able to use the actual depth of the 3d objects to inform the shader on how to "draw" the shapes.

Sacred Arrays is fully interactive:

- Left click + drag to spin the arrays.
- Right click to reset the orientation of the piece.
- Save screenshot with 'S'
- Redraw animation with 'R'

- There is a hidden dropdown menu in the top left you can access by clicking on mobile or mousing over on Desktop.

Variations:

- Palettes
- Array Rotation Start
- Array Rotation End
- Geometric Folds
- Animation Duration
- Array Complexity
- Special Editions: Pixelated CRT, Mad Dithered, Rough Edges
