Flow 2

For all those who liked the original—and especially those who wanted an edition and weren’t able to get one before they sold out—here is a follow-up piece.

This series is a collection of animations based on noise fields and fluid dynamics. The pieces are designed to run continuously, and they produce slowly evolving images that seem to drip, swirl, pulse, and flow. Dense networks of patterns emerge and decay as the pieces evolve. Because of their subtle movement, these works make excellent wall art when run on a display monitor.

Flow 2 is somewhat less chaotic and more meditative than the original. It employs different brushstrokes and a different decay algorithm. I also added a number of new color palettes, now 35 in all.

While these animations are most interesting to view at larger sizes, if your performance begins to suffer just reduce the size of your viewing window.

-spacebar will pause the animation

-return will resume the animation

-r will restart the animation
